Cover of the Week #92702

More movies to avoid

Six-Pack Annie (1975) - **1/2. Good hearted exploitation flick in the Smokey & Bandit mold. Lindsey Bloom (who shoulda been a star) tries various schemes to save her mom's diner. Louisa Moritz plays the scatterbrained blonde for the umpteenth time, Doodles Weaver tells old jokes, and Vince Barnett tends bar in his last role.
Island of Doomed Men (1940)- **. Far fetched b-movie has Peter Lorre running a white slavery racket. Diana Barrymore's future husband (and drinking partner) Robert Wilcox plays the dull hero, while Charles Middleton cracks a bullwhip.
Up at the Villa (2000) - **. Outdated Somerset Maugham tale miscasts Sean Penn as an American gigolo in Italy, while every man wants to sleep with Kristin Scott Thomas. Anne Bancroft hams it up as her worldly friend. Jeremy Davies mumbles alot. Mediocre.
One Sunday Afternoon (1933) - **1/2. Gary Cooper loses Fay Wray to Neil Hamilton in the good old summertime. I'd watch Fay Wray in anything but this is non-essential viewing. Good support from Roscoe Karns though.
